No charges were filed against Johnny Manziel over a roadside altercation involving girlfriend Colleen Crowley, but things could just be heating up with his employer.
Mary Kay Cabot of Northeast Ohio Media Group is reporting that the Browns will look further into Manziel’s latest off-field incident, while the league could get involved as well if Manziel is in the NFL’s substance abuse program.
She also stated that the team could cut ties if the allegations about Manziel pushing Crowley’s head into a window are true.
I think they’ll also talk to him about some of the allegations made by his girlfriend in the police report to make sure there are no serious issues that need to be addressed. If the Browns are comfortable with Manziel drinking alcohol, I think they’ll ride it out. If they’re not, they’ll consider moving on.
Over the weekend Crowley stated that she and Manziel are cool, but dashboard camera footage that was released Monday morning shows her visibly upset while talking to police and stating that she wanted to get away from Manziel.
