Jamal gets the goat award for this one, but at least he took it all in stride. Anybody watching who turned off the Michigan State-Michigan game a minute or two early probably thought the Wolverines had wrapped up a win.
It appears that Jamal Spencer of WZZM in Grand Rapids was unaware, and he’s a Spartan grad. After the game, Spencer was reporting from outside the Big House. On live TV, Spencer said the Wolverines had beaten the Spartans.
To his credit, Spencer, a Michigan State alum, owned up to his mistake:
