The announcement was made by the Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo.
In addition, the Washington National will not be renewing the contracts of Bench Coach Randy Knorr, pitching coach Steve McCatty, hitting coach Bobby Henley, first base coach Tony Tarasco, bullpen coach Matt LeCroy, and defensive coordinator/advance coach Mark Weidemaier.
Williams, the 2014 National League Manager of the Year, guided the Nationals to a 83-79 mark and finished seven games back of the New York Mets in the NL East.
