It was revealed a few months ago that Nike has officially made a signature shoe for Indiana Pacers star small forward Paul George. Dubbed as the Nike PG 1, the shoe was expected to release back in August.
So far, we have heard nothing about the sneaker. Did Nike scrap the shoe? Not to worry, because it looks like we finally have our answer on when you can grab your hands on a pair.
Nike's brand president Trevor Edwards revealed that the shoe will release sometime in 2017.
"With the upcoming launch of our first new signature shoe in years, the Paul George 1, get ready for even more consumer and commercial energy in Nike Basketball over the next few months."Edwards refers to the shoe as the Paul George 1. We're not sure if they'll stick by that, or if it will be shortened to the Nike PG 1.
However, it's clear the shoe will release at some point in 2017. Hopefully it is before the NBA All-Star break.
