Getting blown out isn’t the worst thing in the world, but it doesn’t help when it comes days after a players-only meeting.
Detroit Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy ripped his team’s performance after a 113-82 blowout loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.
The Pistons, who have given up more than 100 points in each of the last three games and have lost three of four, looked awful from the get-go.
“It was a disgusting performance. By all of us, me included. It was unprofessional, embarrassing, humiliating, whatever you want to say. It was terrible.”Van Gundy was really pissed about the effort following the Pistons' alleged players-only team meeting.
“Team meeting, my ass. Like I said before, that stuff means nothing. It’s what you do on the court. Talking’s easy.”
