Ice Cube and Roger Mason Jr. may have persuaded their most important and biggest name to join and cement the 3-on-3 pro league set to hit cities this summer!
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, "The Answer" Allen Iverson has signed on to be one of the league’s eight player/coaches, with a massive press conference set for Wednesday in New York to officially announce the move.
Iverson will be one of eight dual head coach/players in the league, which is backed by entertainment icon Ice Cube and includes Roger Mason as president and commissioner.Iverson was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in September, and the 11-time All-Star may have just blessed Ice Cube’s league with the star power necessary to survive!
Iverson is scheduled to appear at a news conference in New York on Wednesday to discuss his part in the league’s summer launch, sources said.
Among other players committed to the half-court league, which is set to travel throughout eight cities and venues this summer: Chauncey Billups, Kenyon Martin, Rashard Lewis, Jermaine O’Neal, Stephen Jackson and Jason Williams.
