Isaiah Thomas and Dennis Schroder won’t be having dinner anytime soon, especially since the two talented point guards can’t decide who really said what to whom.
The Celtics point guard vehemently denied Schroder’s claim that Thomas cursed at his mother during Boston's 103-101 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.
Thomas was seen yelling to the crowd that Schroder “ain’t nothing," but Schroder believes there was more.
“I’m playing basketball. If he think that he got to curse at my mom or say some dumb stuff about my family, that has nothing to do with basketball. That’s his choice. I’ve got too much class for that. Next one, we are going to get it.”Thomas addressed Schroder’s accusations on on Sunday, telling reporters that the Hawks point guard is a liar.
“I don’t talk about nobody’s mom. I don’t cuss at nobody’s mom. And I don’t talk about people’s families. So whatever he said, that’s a 100 percent lie, and he knows that.”Thomas went on to say he doesn’t want to talk about Schroder any longer because “he’s not even on the level that I’m trying to be on.”
The two will meet again on Feb. 27 in Boston and April 6 in Atlanta.
