At Jimmy John’s, you’re supposed to bake the bread and rake in the dough—not play in it!
A Florida Jimmy John’s restaurant is catching a ton of flak after a video surfaced on Snapchat showing employees jumping rope with bread dough.
The video from a Jimmy John’s located in Jacksonville shows the dough actually hitting the ground several times while employees also play with it.
Franchise owners James and Rebecca Williams say in a statement that the dough used in the video was immediately discarded after the incident. They say they don’t condone the employees’ behavior and appropriate action has been taken to prevent an incident like this from happening again.
According to reports via an investigation by state inspectors who visited the restaurant, that dough was never used after the incident.
The employees involved were fired.
