Buddy Hield could become a pretty good NBA player, but a potential league MVP I don’t see.
Hoping to ease the anxiety of Sacramento Kings fans, owner Vivek Ranadive wants fans to believe that Hield has the potential to be just as good as Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, according to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes.
Source familiar w/ Kings’ thinking: "Vivek thinks Buddy [Hield] has Steph Curry potential.” Am told that fixation was a key driver in deal.— Baxter Holmes (@BaxterHolmes) February 20, 2017
Hield is averaging 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists on the season after being selected sixth overall in 2016. He did earn Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors in December, but I’m not sure he’ll ever come close to Curry.
