The NBA trade rumor mill has been getting crazy since the Sacramento Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans. The New York Knicks are now involved in a new rumor, but it doesn't involve Carmelo Anthony surprisingly.
According to ESPN, the Timberwolves are reportedly interested in trading for Knicks point guard Derrick Rose. Rose will be a free agent this summer, and has played under current T-Wolves coach Tom Thibodeau back in Chicago.
The T-Wolves are reportedly among several teams interested in trading for Rose. They will likely offer Ricky Rubio in such a trade.
Rose could fit well at the starting point guard spot, where he would play alongside Zach LaVine (when he's healthy), Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Rose is currently averaging 17.7 points per game on 46.2 percent shooting this season. The NBA trade deadline is on Thursday at 3 p.m. EST, so we'll see what moves get made in the next few days.
