If you went to sleep early on Friday night anticipating a UConn-South Carolina rematch, you probably woke up to a shocking turn of events.
Mississippi State ended the Huskies’ 111-game winning streak Friday at the women’s Final Four on a buzzer-beater in overtime from 5-foot-5 star guard Morgan William.
UConn hadn’t tasted defeat since Nov. 17, 2014, with extra regulation being a bummer as the Huskies have dropped six straight games in overtime. They haven’t won a game that went past regulation since 2004.
Social media reacts to everything, and UConn going down was no different.
