In the end, Kell Brook didn’t have enough, nor did he want to risk his eye sight for one more round. Brook’s reign as the IBF welterweight champion ended on Saturday night, as challenger Errol Spence stopped the British star in the 11th round in front of his home crowd in Sheffield, England.
Brook was unable to see after reportedly having his left eye socket broken by the skill southpaw. One minute and 46 seconds into the 11 round, Brook took a knee, and the referee waved the fight over.
