Jordan’s sneakers, which feature his signature on the side, are being auctioned off by SCP Auctions. With one day remaining for bids, Zachary Ripple of the New York Daily News is reporting a world record $144,222 bid.
The dual-signed Converse shoes from Jordan’s gold-medal-winning game against Spain breaks the record set by another pair of his — his game-worn sneakers from Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals.The previous record was $104,765, went for the black-and-red Air Jordan 12s MJ wore in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals.
