The Juice could be loose again very soon. OJ Simpson will have another parole hearing set for July 20, and the former NFL legend could be released from a Nevada prison on October 1, according to The Associated Press.
Simpson, who turns 70 on July 9, has served more than eight years of a nine- to 33-year sentence imposed after he was found guilty in 2008 of armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges stemming from a confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers at a Las Vegas casino hotel in September 2007.Simpson’s attorney sounded as if The Juice is finally prepared to fade into the sunset.
Simpson will reportedly appear via video conference before a four-person panel in Carson City, parole official David Smith said.
“If he’s able to get parole, my prediction is he’s going to want to live a quiet life,” Simpson’s attorney in Las Vegas, Malcolm LaVergne, said in a recent interview.
Simpson is most famous for being acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman.
