In the end, pressure finally busted Miami’s pipes.
With a gigantic ACC championship game scheduled against Clemson, the No. 2 Hurricanes saw their playoff chances take a huge hit after losing to Pitt, 24-14, on the road.

The Canes were a year or two ahead of schedule, and the inexperience of being a heavy favorite and playoff contender finally caught up to them.
Freshman quarterback Kenny Pickett ran for two touchdowns and threw for another as Pittsburgh stunned the second-ranked Hurricanes. Pitt (5-7, 3-5 ACC) sent shockwaves through the playoff situation.
Pickett completed 18-of-29 passes for 193 yards, while adding 60 yards rushing in his first career start.
Twitter reacts to everything, and with most people hating the turnover chain, most of the jokes focused on that.

Miami Florida just lost to Pitt but it will not affect their chances of making the playoffs. If Miami beats Clemson next week, a one loss ACC champ Miami will get into the playoffs.— Phil Steele (@philsteele042) November 24, 2017
