Jeff Hornacek is likely done after getting cursed out by Kristaps Porzingis, but who will the New York Knicks target to bring relevancy back to the Garden?
Hornacek, who was hired by Phil Jackson, is expected to be fired, and the New York Post is reporting that the team will target two big-named replacements.
Doc Rivers and Mark Jackson are expected to be targeted. Jackson was fired by the Golden State Warriors in 2014 and has worked at ESPN since.
The feeling around the league is Hornacek won’t be brought back by Steve Mills and Scott Perry and that the club may target Doc Rivers and Mark Jackson.Rivers, who is still the coach of the Los Angeles Clippers, could be swayed by a move back east for the former Knicks point guard.
Meanwhile, according to an NBA source, the Noah and O’Quinn shouting incidents weren’t the first time the lame-duck Knicks coach got profanities thrown his way by a Knicks player.
