The Dez Bryant era is over in Dallas after an emotional meeting between the star wide receiver and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. Bryant chose not to accept a pay cut from his $12.5 million base salary for 2018.
Cowboys expected to release WR Dez Bryant today, barring an unexpected last-minute change of heart, per @toddarcher and me. But the plan going into meeting that is now underway was to part ways with Bryant.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 13, 2018
The Cowboys weren’t hurting for options after signing former Jacksonville Jaguars stud Allen Hurns to go along with Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley, and 2017 draft picks Ryan Switzer and Noah Brown.
Bryant, for his part, tweeted out that he is "unbothered."

Why would he be? He’s expected to have his share of suitors. Bryant, who will turn 30 in November, could be a valuable option for these three teams.
New England Patriots
The Patriots traded big-play threat Brandin Cooks to the Los Angeles Rams, and head coach Bill Belichick is always willing to add a prospective big-play weapon on the outside to team with Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers are in the midst of a culture change, and need a star to pair with Jimmy Garoppolo. Marquise Goodwin provides them the speed and quickness, while Pierre Garcon would join Bryant in providing a consistent target.
Houston Texans
Bryant could join DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller, turning the Texans already dynamic passing attack into a juggernaut with Deshaun Watson leading the way at quarterback.
