It won’t be the Philadelphia Eagles versus the Minnesota Vikings, but the atmosphere should still be electric for a playoff rematch on the NFL’s opening weekend.
The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles will reportedly kick off the 2018 NFL season against the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday, September 6, at Lincoln Financial Field, per Philly.com’s Jeff McLane.

The NFL’s tradition of having the reigning Super Bowl winner open the season at home will again be upheld. The Eagles defeated the Falcons, 15-10, in the NFC’s divisional round this past season.
