Philadelphia 76ers rookies Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons took "The Process" to prison, visiting jailed rapper Meek Mill this week, TMZ Sports reported Friday.
According to the report, 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin helped put the visit together so that Meek Mill bless the pair with some “words of wisdom” ahead of the NBA playoffs.
The Sixers, who are a threat to win the Eastern Conference, qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2011-12.
Meek was given a two-four year prison stint for violating terms of probation stemming from a 2008 arrest. In a motion filed to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office wrote it wouldn’t oppose Williams being released on bail.
A judge denied him bail last week while he appeals his sentence.
