It looks like Temple will finally move on from the Fran Dunphy era a year too late. Temple and head coach Fran Dunphy have mutually agreed that he will coach the basketball team one more year, and then be succeeded by assistant coach Aaron McKie.

Dunphy, the former Penn head coach, just completed his 12th season at Temple, as the Owls went 17-16 and lost to eventual champion Penn State, 63-57, in the first round of the NIT.
McKie, the former Temple great and NBA player, has been a team assistant since 2014.
