Draymond Green is past all the talking, and has one message for the Houston Rockets—it's time to play.
The Golden State Warriors star forward was already in Finals form when addressing the elephant in the room, which is the impending Western Conference Finals showdown with the top-seeded Rockets.
“They have made it known that their team is built to beat us,” Green said Tuesday after the Warriors eliminated the New Orleans Pelicans in five games. “Kind of their, like you said, obsession or whatever you want to call it — it is what it is. Like I’ve said before, all that stuff is cool. Obviously, you want to build your team to beat the defending champs because that’s usually how you have to go to win a championship. So, all understandable.A meeting in the WCF between the Warriors and Rockets has been anticipated all season. Golden State eliminated the New Orleans Pelicans with a 113-104 win in Game 5 on Tuesday night, while the Rockets advanced past the Utah Jazz with a 112-102 victory in Game 5 of their series.
“That stuff has been said for about a year now. It’s time to play.”
Now, we have the Super Bowl of the NBA season.
