The Bryan Colangelo era appears to be over. Now, it is just about Philadelphia 76ers brass meeting to make sure everyone is on board with the decision.
After the Sixers retained the law firm of Paul/Weiss to investigate several secret Twitter accounts that have been tied to Colangelo and his wife, Barbara, the ownership group of the team met for several hours on Tuesday evening to discuss the future of the embattled GM, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Per reports, investigators interviewed Colangelo, 53, and his wife separately for several hours Sunday and Monday.
The tweets included moments where it propped up Colangelo’s job performance and disparaging comments about superstar Joel Embiid, Colangelo’s predecessor Sam Hinkie, and Colangelo’s successor as president of the Toronto Raptors Masai Ujiri.
