Even though many members of the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles were not going to attend, President Donald Trump announced that he is uninviting the NFL team to the White House.

The Eagles already had plans for the day of their potential White House visit.
The Eagles held meetings with their players in recent weeks and, according to sources, Jeff Lurie didn't want to put the players in a tough spot so he decided to send a smaller contingent. Other players were going to have an optional day at the facility. Now, no trip to D.C.— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) June 4, 2018
The announcement contained obvious propaganda from Trump, in which Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith called out.
So many lies smh— Torrey Smith (@TorreySmithWR) June 4, 2018
Here are some facts
1. Not many people were going to go
2. No one refused to go simply because Trump “insists” folks stand for the anthem
3. The President continues to spread the false narrative that players are anti military pic.twitter.com/89GUNhJ4eE
Trump pulled the same card last year with the Golden State Warriors, in which the NBA team planned that they were not going to visit the White House. The team had been very vocal about Trump, as have the Eagles this past season.
It'd be a good time to bring this tweet back up:
U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!— LeBron James (@KingJames) September 23, 2017
