Jalen Brunson didn’t get the guarantee of a first-round contract, but he landed in a great spot. Brunson, the National Player of the Year, is headed to Dallas after being drafted 33rd overall by the Mavericks.

Brunson should develop into a solid backup option at point guard, joining a backcourt that features Dennis Smith Jr., Luka Doncic, and Wesley Matthews.
