If LeBron James leaves the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason, it's very likely the team will try to trade Kevin Love, too. Love spoke about James' upcoming free agency decision, as well as his future with Cleveland.
“Anything is possible,” Love said. “People have been saying that for the past four years. I knew that question would come, but I like to be here. I’ve always said that. Always wanted to win here.”Based off how many are predicting James' free agency decision to go, it's likely that Love won't get either of these wishes.
“It’s something where I’m sure he will spend time with his family and when that times comes to make a decision, he will be in a good frame of mind,” Love said. “Obviously, I’d love to play with LeBron the rest of my career, but that will be a choice that he makes.”
However, it does debunk what critics say about LeBron that teammates actually don't like playing with him. Love's stats have gone down since coming to Cleveland, and many attribute that to LeBron.
Love won a ring with James in the 2016 NBA Finals. Last season, he averaged averaged 17.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game on 45.8 percent shooting, including 41.5 percent from 3-point range.
