Carson Wentz Return: Eagles QB Won't Be on PUP List to Start Training Camp

Carson Wentz and the Philadelphia Eagles got some really good news as the start of training camp opened on Wednesday.

Amid reports that he might miss time to start the season, the Eagles have reportedly decided against placing their franchise quarterback on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Philly plans to get Wentz on the field during training camp and he will start the season on the 53-man roster.

When the #Eagles met prior to QB Carson Wentz’s physical, they mulled a PUP designation considering he won’t be full speed and won’t do team drills. In the end, they chose option B, which is to keep him on the field. This means he’ll be on the 53-man roster when the season begins
