Carmelo Anthony to the Houston Rockets is a go after the Oklahoma City Thunder traded the star forward and a 2022 first-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Dennis Schroder and Mike Muscala. Per the report, Melo will be waived.
Sources: Muscala ($5M) is likely headed for a third team in near future. OKC GM Sam Presti and coach Billy Donovan were given permission to talk with Schroder, and they're enthusiastic about partnership. OKC wants more speed, another ball handler. https://t.co/VibPPXzlBW— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 19, 2018
Anthony will get his entire $27.9M in the buyout and waiver with Hawks. It could take a few days to work thru logistics on trade. 'Melo met with Rockets and Heat in Las Vegas. Again, Rockets are the frontrunner. https://t.co/2rbDZ7vUu1— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 19, 2018
