The topic of who is the greatest of all time—the GOAT—has always been a hot topic in sports. Whether it's the NFL, NBA, or soccer, every sport has proclaimed GOAT and a large debate over who it should be.
In the NBA, the popular choice has been Michael Jordan since the 1990s. Surprisingly, some controversy ensued when Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss proclaimed MJ as the GOAT recently in a promo for NBA 2K23.
It has led to the discussion on why she would say that when she has guys like LeBron James on her team and legends like Kobe Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and others before then.
Nonetheless, we do have a fair share of Kobe GOAT-truthers, as shown here. But what about LeBron? As the years goes by, his case for being the GOAT has grown stronger, and more and more of the media and fans are starting to say so as well.
