UPDATE: Drake essentially confirmed what he said in his song via his fake Instagram (Finsta):

Drake has once again taken over the internet. This time, it wasn’t with an official release, but rather an eyebrow-raising, sexually explicit, and wildly specific leak that has fans dissecting every bar.

On April 6, 2025, a previously unreleased Drake track titled “Shopping Spree / Bal Harbour” surfaced online. The song quickly spread across X (formerly Twitter), Reddit, and hip-hop leak circles.

The track, which allegedly dates back to 2023, features a sample of Junior M.A.F.I.A. and The Notorious B.I.G.’s classic “Get Money"—the same sample Drake used in the leaked (but not DSP-released) version of the track “Push Ups”, which was part of his heated back-and-forth rap beef with Kendrick Lamar.

But while the beat and sample caught early attention, the real viral moment came courtesy of a wild bar from Drake’s lone verse—one that instantly triggered a flurry of memes, speculation, and even NBA fan confusion:

Sleeping in the Pistons locker room, I'm on another mission

Cade Cunningham left his Crocs

Yeah, I

Fu, fu, fu, fu, fu, fu

Fucked you in 'em

Yes, you read that right. Drake claims he was not only crashing in the Detroit Pistons locker room, but also noticed Cade Cunningham’s Crocs were left behind… and then proceeded to wear them while getting intimate with a woman.

The outrageous nature of the lyric—and the fact it directly names Cade Cunningham, the Pistons’ franchise star and former No. 1 overall pick—sent shockwaves through NBA and rap Twitter alike.

Adding further fuel to the fire, fans quickly discovered a now-viral tweet from July 8, 2023, posted by @zariqxavier, showing Drake in what appears to be the Pistons locker room.

The timing lines up perfectly with the rumored 2023 recording date of "Shopping Spree," which adds a layer of authenticity—or at the very least, intentional trolling.

Drake was also notably at the Pistons' Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for his "It's All a Blur Tour" on July 8 and 9 of 2023. It's also noteworthy to realize Drake's recent Michigan and Detroit references in his music, likely related to his team hanging out with Lil Yachty.

The moment has since spawned a sea of posts, including from accounts like @Cunninghammuse, which highlighted the now-infamous lyric and added: “Cade Cunningham has Crocs in his locker with a #2 on them 😂”

This aligns with previous reports and sightings of Cunningham wearing white Crocs, often with his signature number or minimalist style, consistent with his known vegan and laid-back lifestyle.

While there’s no official response from Cade or the Pistons yet, the lyric has already been meme-ified across social media.

Fans are jokingly referring to Drake as the newest member of the Pistons’ rotation or calling for a “Crocs collab” between the rapper and Detroit’s young star.

More About the Track Itself

“Shopping Spree / Bal Harbour” is quintessential Drake. It is lavish, confessional, and at times deeply unserious. The chorus floats over the sample-heavy beat:

Bal Harbour shopping spree

Hop on top me (Get money)

Do some shit for you for once, you do a lot for me…

Bal Harbour, a luxury shopping destination in Florida, sets the tone for the track’s theme of wealth, intimacy, and transactional romance. As with many Drake loosies, the song blends flexes with raw, chaotic vulnerability.

Though unreleased officially, the lyrics have already been transcribed on Genius.com and shared widely, confirming the authenticity of the leak.

The production, laid-back delivery, and off-the-wall verse feel reminiscent of 2020s-era Drake, possibly recorded during the "For All the Dogs" sessions or a scrapped side project.

Where Is All This Music Coming From?

Fans and critics alike have been puzzled by the recent surge in Drake leaks — with many songs surfacing on YouTube or X weeks before any official announcements. Other songs that leaked were "Cheerios" and "Waiting to Exhale," which features 21 Savage.

Whether these drops are coming from internal camp leaks, fan hacks, or even part of a guerrilla marketing campaign remains to be seen.

But one thing is clear: no other artist can break the internet off a locker room story involving NBA players’ Crocs like Drake just did.

We will continue monitoring this story and any fallout from Detroit or OVO. One thing’s for sure: this leak is one of the strangest and most unforgettable rap moments of 2025 so far.
